Welcome to Shaheed Bhagat Singh College. I am glad you have chosen our college for your academic pursuits during the next four years. Shaheed Bhagat Singh College is one of the leading colleges at University of Delhi imparting higher education in commerce, humanities and social sciences. We have highly qualified, dedicated and committed faculty who are well known in their respective fields of specialization. They are ever ready to provide guidance, sharpen skills and shape up all round personality of the students.
We, at Shaheed Bhagat Singh College, provide vibrant academic environment for the students to sharpen their intellect, inter-personal and communication skills. The co-curricular and extra-curricular activities organized in the college provide a platform to the students for their personality development and the promotion of their creative talents in the diverse fields of debating, dancing, music and a host of other cultural activities. The college library has about 70,000 books, and large number of journals in different areas of research and training, to provide you with an intellectually stimulating environment. All the books and journals are bar-coded and supported by computerised search, alongside issue and return facility. This is further supplemented by a computer lab with internet facility. The college is going to convert the library into a fully automated knowledge and e-learning resource centre.
Our future plan is to develop the college into a Centre of Excellence to provide opportunities for all round development of the students in today’s fast changing competitive global environment of the 21st century. The college has modern facilities with technological support in the form of computer labs, providing platform to the students to learn, research and exchange knowledge.
We, at Shaheed Bhagat Singh College, stand committed to contribute and coordinate our resources for progressive, scientific and rational educational exchange, locally as well as at the international level. Efforts are being made to organize faculty enrichment and development programmes. We also plan to organize cultural and educational exchange programmes with foreign universities that will make our students competitive among the corporate sector in India and the world.
The Alumni Association of our college, working closely with the dynamic student-led Placement Cell, is committed to enabling students to attain distinguished positions in civil services, defence, industry, and various other prestigious professional domains.
