Alumni Association

The academic year 2025–26 witnessed a series of meaningful initiatives by the Alumni Association aimed at strengthening alumni engagement, fostering community spirit, and contributing to social responsibility. Equinox 3.0 served as an engaging platform to bring together students, encouraging interaction and participation through a range of activities that helped build a sense of connection within the institution.

A key initiative of the year was the launch of The Voices of SBSC, a podcast series designed to deepen alumni engagement by providing a platform for distinguished alumni to share their journeys and insights. Three episodes were successfully released, featuring accomplished speakers from diverse fields, whose experiences offered valuable perspectives on leadership, professional growth, and unconventional career paths. The series received an encouraging response and added a new dimension to alumni outreach.

The Alumni Dinner, held on 6th December 2025, brought together around 150+ alumni from various batches and professional backgrounds. The evening was marked by warm interactions, shared memories, and meaningful conversations between alumni and faculty, reinforcing long-standing relationships and a strong sense of belonging to the institution.

Demonstrating its commitment to community welfare, the Alumni Association organized a Health Camp on 24th March 2026 in collaboration with BLK Max Hospital and Rotary Club of Delhi. The initiative witnessed participation from over 370 individuals and included essential health services such as anemia screening and general check-ups, highlighting the association’s focus on holistic well-being and social impact.

The 14th Annual General Meeting (AGM) was successfully conducted on 14th December 2025, providing a platform to review the year’s progress and discuss future directions for the association.

A significant milestone achieved during the year was the continued growth of the alumni network, with total lifetime membership crossing 5000. This expansion reflects the increasing engagement and strong connection of alumni with the institution.

Overall, the year was marked by impactful initiatives, stronger alumni participation, and continued efforts to build a vibrant and inclusive alumni community.

  • Mission

The ARC aims to be the connect between students and the alumni of our institute. We strive to promote the initiatives taken by the alumni and provide a platform for students to gain from the insights of and network with the distinguished alumni network of our college. The cell aims to collaborate with the alumni of the institute for various academic and social initiatives as well as work on further strengthening the relationship between alumni and students of the institute.

  • Focus

The cell works to support the interests of alumni by investing in three key activities: – enhancing the student experience; providing services to alumni; building links with the college community.

  • Initiatives

The Alumni relations cell under the guidance of the alumni association conducted a mentorship festival at the college. This was a one-of-a-kind initiative under which speakers from various industries came to the college to share their journeys in their respective fields. The participants also got a chance to interact with the guest speakers and enlighten themselves through the experiences of the speakers. The fest was a huge success and saw registrations of more than 250 students from the college.

  • Alumni Visit

The alumni relations cell organized an alumni visit in the college, where a member of the executive committee of the alumni association was called and interacted with students on a one-to-one basis to understand the needs of college students and their problems. The esteemed alumni gave the students guidance for ways to tackle their issues and the real and practical world exposure of the industries they are looking to pursue

  • Webinars

The Alumni Association, Shaheed Bhagat Singh College(M) organized a webinar on the Economy and Budget 2022 on 4th February 2022. The experts Aditi Nayar, Chief Economist (ICRA) and Dr. Girish Ahuja, veteran direct tax expert along with moderator Narinder Wadhwa gave insights and an in depth analysis on the budget. strengthening the relationship between alumni and students of the institute.

  • Scholarship Fund

Alumni Association, Shaheed Bhagat Singh College announced the Basicolan V. Shekhar Scholarship Fund (2021-22) scheme for granting scholarship to needy and meritorious students, studying in the college, on a year to year basis. This was started in the year 2020-21.
