Meraki: The Creative Writing Society

Meraki is the Bilingual Creative Writing Society of Shaheed Bhagat Singh College (M). From the year 2017-18, Meraki has been working on the vision of building a space which makes alive the art of binding your thoughts while providing a platform for young minds in this field to learn, improve, and progress together. Writing has always been a primary source of information and a catalyst for revolution — and we aim to carry that legacy forward by supporting literature in all its forms.

True to its purpose, Meraki holds various meetings throughout the year. With consistent effort and innovation, it fosters creative thinking, encouraging experimentation with different forms of writing, and nurturing these creations. We encourage our members to participate in competitions across colleges and universities, earning top positions and establishing a strong name across the DU circuit and beyond.

Here at Meraki, we believe in the power of words and how they can be crafted so beautifully that they resonate long after they are written. Meraki fosters a community built with tight-knit friendship. Every individual here has the freedom to grow at their own pace with the others standing beside them, helping them on their way.
