Queer Feminist Collective
Art Therapy Workshop
QFC collaborated with the B.A. Programme Association to conduct an Art Therapy Workshop facilitated by Mr Piyush Jain, Founder of Art Adventures Studio, and his team. Approximately 25 students from various disciplines participated in the 2.5-hour phone-free session. The experience offered participants a unique opportunity to explore expressive art therapy, enabling them to connect with their emotions and inner selves through creativity and visual expression. Surrounded by nature, sharing stories, and exploring how identity and community shape us, the workshop was full of laughter, learning, and feeling truly rooted in who we are.

Orientation
On 25th September 2025, the Queer Feminist Collective held its Orientation in the online mode, the first event of the new academic session. The primary aim of the orientation was to introduce the collective and the team to the first year students, outlining the goals and the objectives. Attendees gained insight into the Collective’s operations and the various initiatives it undertakes. Additionally, participants were introduced to Team QFC’s roles and the organization’s Work Policy.
Sensitisation Sessions
On 16th October, 2025, QFC organized its first sensitisation session on the topic ‘Consent and Boundaries’. It aimed to create a deeper understanding of consent dynamics, and establish healthy boundaries in their relationships and interactions. On 11th November, 2025, second insightful sensitization session on ‘Pronouns and Gender Vocabulary’ aimed to educate participants on the significance of using correct pronouns and inclusive language, and its impact on the mental and emotional well-being of individuals within the LGBTQIA+ spectrum.

Session on Visual Art
On 20th November, 2025, QFC organised an art exploration session, where participants viewed various artworks, including their own, spanning different time periods and regions. Conversations about what the paintings and sketches represent, their emotional impact, and understanding the stories they tell in a calm, interactive space facilitated comprehension of how art has been used to express themes of womanhood, gender, self, and identity across human history.

Chugli: An Open Discussion on Feminism on Social Media
On 25th February, 2026, QFC organised a Chugli session on the topic “Feminism on Social Media” to address and examine how feminism is represented in digital spaces. Chugli is a satirical reclamation of how discussions among women and queer folks are shunned altogether by making fun of them and their ‘Gossip tendencies.’ Approximately 35 students as well as faculty members across departments engaged in analyzing the good, the bad, and everything in between, from trends to increasing misogyny, trolling, and online activism, creating a robust environment for critical reflection.
Movie Screening
A screening of Greta Gerwig’s Little Women (2019) on 17th April, 2026 was held, followed by an engaging group discussion. Based on Louisa May Alcott’s 1868 novel, the movie is a beautifully crafted narrative that explores themes of sisterhood, identity, ambition, and the choices women make in shaping their own lives. A heartfelt and thought-provoking watch, this film created a great opportunity for students and faculty to come together, and engage in conversations around gender, individuality, and storytelling.
